My 10 Friday Favorites today are about some of the hot spots I love to shop or site see in TEXAS when I have the time.
As many of you know, I live in the out-skirts of San Antonio, Texas.
I’m not crazy about the hot weather here, but what a site to see!
There are so many adorable little towns in Texas I love to visit for shopping or site seeing, and I’d love to share them with you!
Some of these towns I have lived, shopped, or traveled through, I hope you do enjoy them.
Without further ado, let’s get started!
MY 10 FRIDAY FAVORITES
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
- The San Antonio Riverwalk is by far the best place to go to if you visit San Antonio! It’s beautiful during the day and heavenly at night! The lights are gorgeous at night and make it feel as if every night is Christmas!
VANDERPOOL & UTOPIA
These images look like paintings but they’re not! These two are my favorite places to go during Autumn and Fall. Can you see why?
2. Top Image: Vanderpool, Texas is gorgeous in Autumn. My favorite place to go to in Vanderpool is the State Park in Lost Maples.
3. Bottom Image: Utopia was a route I took on a daily way back when for work. It was a peaceful drive, and the sites were beautiful in any season. Utopia offers “Color Tours” during Autumn. Check it out, if you ever visit, Utopia!
GRUENE & NEW BRAUNFELS
For those of you who live in San Antonio, does this look familiar to you?
4. Top Image: Gruene, Texas, Pronounced, Green. This town is so great for shopping, dining, and site-seeing. We go to Gruene for family get-togethers and occasional window-shopping.
5. Bottom Image: Downtown New Braunfels has every shop you can imagine! It’s known for the Comal and Guadalupe rivers, which wind past leafy parks like Landa and Cypress Bend. Original 1800s German buildings like Gruene Hall are preserved in the Gruene Historic District.
BOERNE & WIMBERLEY
My two places I LOVE! Boerne and Wimberley.
6. Top Image: I used to live in Boerne [pronounced Bernie] and I miss it so much! The shops you see in the photo above is the street where I used to live on. The shopping there is outstanding for unique finds and antiques. There are plenty of ma & pa shops that offer good hard to find items!
7. Bottom Image: I enjoyed the small town of Wimberley. It had the best comfort feel and the best shopping you can find. Again, another place to shop for unique finds, antiques, not to mention, they have great food, too!!
AUSTIN & COMFORT
8. Top Image: Austin! Need I say more? You can find anything in Austin. Shopping, entertainment, music, and art, should I go on? We love every minute when we visit that amazing city!
9. Bottom Image: This cute little town Comfort is exactly as it sounds. Pure comfort! It’s such a cozy town! It’s been a while since I’ve been there. This was another town I traveled on a daily basis way back when. It has the perfect Ma & Pa shops here, too!
10. Waco, Texas is a place I haven’t been in ages!! That was before the Magnolia Silo was even thought of. Have you been to the Silos? Oh, I’m so jealous! I would love to take a drive to visit the Silos, in Waco! Maybe even meet Joanna! Ha, I used to tell my husband, she was my BFF every time I watched Fixer Upper!
Ok, Okay! I know that this is my 10 Friday Favorites but I have to add ONE MORE!
Fredericksburg
I’m sure for those who live in S.A. will agree, too, that Fredericksburg, Texas is the go-to place!
It’s a quaint little German town and is known for its wineries. We love to go there to relax, dine, and shop! Once you visit there, you will fall in love and will continue to go back for more!
I hope you enjoyed my tour of Texas! And My 10 Friday Favorites.
