How To Make Homemade Shredded Chicken

Ingredients

Family Pack [5-6] Leg quarters [skin on]

Quarts
Water

Diced Baby Carrots

Diced Celery

Yellow Onion

Coarse Black Pepper

Natures Seasons Seasoning Blend

Onion Powder

Celery Salt

Fresh Sage Leaves
Instructions
Place chicken with skin in an 8 quart cooking pot.
Put heat on Medium to High heat
Add onion, celery, carrots and Sage.
Add water to cooking pot and boil for 30 minutes.
Then lower heat to medium / low for an additional 30 minutes.
Remove cooking pot from heat.
Place chicken pieces on a kitchen plate to debone and de-skin. Place chicken in a large bowl.
Shred chicken using two forks in a raking motion.
Strain out 1½ cups of vegetables and place in bowl with chicken.
Add all of the seasonings, mix well.
Add salt to desired taste.
Enjoy!
Notes
Dispose of the Sage Leaves. Store broth in the refrigerator or freeze for future Makes and Munchies recipes.
