- 2 egg yolks
CENTER TOPPING
- 3 cups miniature marshmallows

SALTED PEANUT CHEWS
Gather and prep all of the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the crust ingredients. Add the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
Now, add the brown sugar, margarine, vanilla, and egg yolks. Mix the crumb crust ingredients until the mixture forms.
This is what the crust will look like when it’s ready to be pressed into the pan
Pour the crumb mixture into an ungreased 9X13 baking pan. Press the crumbs evenly throughout the pan and the corners. Bake for 12 minutes. Remove from heat.
Once you’ve removed the cooked crust from the oven, immediately layer the marshmallows on top of the crust, as shown in image 13 above.
Return the pan to the oven for another minute or two. Just long enough for the marshmallows to puff. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
While the crust and marshmallows are cooling, start making the final topping.
With a small saucepan on low-simmer heat, combine the final topping ingredients. Add the corn syrup, peanut butter chips, vanilla, and margarine and stir until the chips are melted.
Add the Rice Krispies cereal and peanuts to the medium mixing bowl. Stir with your fingers or a wooden spoon to combine them together.
Pour the heated mixture of the final toppings to the cereal and peanuts. Stir until the heated mixture and dry ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Spoon the mixture over the crust and marshmallows.
And, that’s it. Enjoy!

The salted peanut chews can be stored in a food safe container with a lid or a zip lock plastic baggie for up to 3 to 4 days. They may be refrigerated or left out.
